NameJet saw a 25% drop in transaction volume but still posted a 3% increase in revenue month over month, indicating higher average prices per sale. SnapNames was flat on units but revenue declined 15% over April. The data reflects aftermarket activity for expiring and deleting domain names.

May 2026 Aftermarket Results

NameJet's top five sales included oao.com at $82,501, qf.org at $32,369, neuronic.com at $13,000, patsymuseum.com at $12,511, and feti.com at $9,838. SnapNames' top sales included leddartech.com at $35,555, thornhill.com at $14,000, starmed.com at $13,000, ssc-cr.org at $11,723, and flextech.com at $9,799. The full lists include dozens of domains sold in the $2,000 to $10,000 range across both platforms.

Domain categories ranged from generic terms like laserquest.com and cashonhand.com to industry-specific names such as riskanalysis.com and energymonitoring.com. The .com extension dominated, followed by .org and .net.

UDRP Case Sheds Light on Domain Defenses

In a separate development, the domain TrickOrTreatStudiosShop.shop survived a UDRP complaint filed by Trick or Treat Studios LLC. The domain resolved to a site offering pre-orders for an 8-inch leprechaun doll. The respondent, identified as “kayleighs kayleighs” of Florida, used the site to display the complainant's trademark and copy images from its official store.

The UDRP panel denied the complaint after questioning whether the complainant held a valid trademark for TRICK OR TREAT STUDIOS at the time the domain was registered. The panel found insufficient evidence of trademark rights, leading to the dismissal. This case underscores that UDRP complainants must prove they have enforceable trademark rights from the date of domain registration, not just at the time of filing.
