AI personal agent startup Folk has acquired the exact-match domain Folk.com for $250,000, upgrading from its previous address at TryFolk.com. Founder Arlan Rakhmetzhanov confirmed the deal on X, noting the seller initially asked $350,000. The domain was registered on July 29, 1995, making it more than 31 years old.

The acquisition gives Folk a short, memorable .com that matches its product name exactly. The startup, developed by Nozomio, operates through text interfaces including iMessage, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Discord, handling schedules, reminders, email, and travel tasks. Rakhmetzhanov was the youngest solo founder in Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch.

Nozomio raised a $6.2 million seed round led by CRV, BoxGroup, and LocalGlobe, with participation from Y Combinator, 20VC Product, Paul Graham, and other investors. The $250,000 domain purchase represents roughly 4% of that seed round, a significant but calculated bet on brand clarity.
