.yahoo is a branded generic top-level domain (gTLD) operated by Yahoo Inc., based in Sunnyvale, California. It is intended for use by Yahoo and its affiliates to create a recognizable namespace for their products, services, and community. Registration is restricted to Yahoo and its authorized entities, so the general public cannot register .yahoo domains. The domain was delegated in February 2016 to Yahoo! Domain Services Inc. and later transferred to OATH INC in July 2021 before coming under Yahoo Inc. The registry services are provided by Identity Digital, and the WHOIS server is whois.nic.yahoo.
