It is managed by the Agence Nationale de Réglementation des Télécommunications (ANRT), the national telecommunications regulatory agency based in Rabat. Registrations are processed through accredited registrars at www.registre.ma. The domain is open to registrants with a local presence or connection to Morocco, following the policies set by ANRT. The registry supports both IPv4 and IPv6 name servers, including a.tld.ma through f.tld.ma, and it uses a WHOIS server at whois.registre.ma. The .ma domain was registered in the IANA root zone on 1993-11-26. It underwent a redelegation in 2006, transferring management to ANRT.
