RFC 1583, “OSPF Version 2”, is a Draft Standard document published in March 1994 by J. Moy. It obsoletes RFC 1247. It has been obsoleted by RFC 2178 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
