Identification Protocol
RFC 1413, “Identification Protocol”, is a Proposed Standard document published in February 1993 by M. St. Johns. It obsoletes RFC 931. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
The Identification Protocol was formerly called the Authentication Server Protocol. It has been renamed to better reflect its function. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
