RFC 1410, “IAB Official Protocol Standards”, is a Historic document published in March 1993 by J. Postel. It obsoletes RFC 1360. It has been obsoleted by RFC 1500 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This memo describes the state of standardization of protocols used in the Internet as determined by the Internet Architecture Board (IAB).
What “Historic” means
A specification that has been superseded or is otherwise no longer recommended for use.
