Cloud and AI services are converging at a rapid pace. This week alone, NVIDIA updated its GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform with deeper game-store integration, Adobe embedded its Firefly AI assistant into Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and Epic Games announced plans to build Claude and Gemini into Unreal Engine 6. Meanwhile, Mistral AI launched a dedicated AI cloud service, and Swiss startup Prem AI is raising $100 million to let enterprises run AI models on their own infrastructure.

NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW now supports single sign-on and library syncing with GOG, Ubisoft+, and the EA app, with a summer sale offering $35 off annual Performance memberships and $70 off Ultimate memberships. Ultimate members get GeForce RTX 5080-class performance, up to 5K resolution, and 120 fps streaming.

AI Moves Into Creative Workflows and Game Engines

Adobe has integrated its Firefly generative AI model directly into Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator, enabling tasks like text-to-image generation, automated editing, and asset creation within the apps. Epic Games confirmed that Unreal Engine 6 will include native support for large language models such as Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini, allowing studios to offload repetitive coding and content generation. However, a survey cited by The Next Web found that more than half of game developers oppose the move, citing concerns about job displacement and creative control.

  • NVIDIA GeForce NOW adds GOG SSO and library syncing this summer; supports cloud saves across devices.
  • Adobe Firefly now accessible directly in Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator for AI-assisted content creation.
  • Epic Unreal Engine 6 will let developers plug in Claude, Gemini, or custom AI models for game logic and asset generation.
  • Mistral AI launches a cloud service offering access to its Mistral Large and other models via API, competing with OpenAI.
  • Prem AI raising $100M Series A at $500M valuation for private AI deployments targeting hedge funds and law firms.

Enterprises Push for Private AI Infrastructure

While public cloud AI services expand, demand for on-premise AI is surging. Prem AI’s $100 million round, expected to close in Q3 2026, underscores a shift among regulated industries. CEO Simone Giacomelli noted that hedge funds and law firms want to own AI models rather than rent them, citing data sovereignty and customization. Similarly, Mistral’s new cloud service offers an alternative to OpenAI, though it remains public-cloud based.

The coming months will test whether developers and enterprises embrace deeply integrated AI or resist it. NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW summer sale runs through August, Adobe’s Firefly rollout is live, and Epic’s Unreal Engine 6 is slated for early 2027. Prem AI expects to close its round by September 2026.
