Abstract
This RFC specifies a standard for the ARPA Internet community. It specifies a method for marking the end of records in data transmitted on Telnet connections.

An entry-level standards-track specification: stable, peer-reviewed and a solid basis for implementation, though it may still evolve before becoming an Internet Standard.
