Overview
RFC 880, “Official protocols”, is a Historic document published in October 1983 by J.K. Reynolds, J. Postel. It obsoletes RFC 840. It has been obsoleted by RFC 901 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This RFC identifies the documents specifying the official protocols used in the ARPA Internet. Annotations identify any revisions or changes planned. Obsoletes RFC 840.
