RFC 870, “Assigned numbers”, is a Historic document published in October 1983 by J.K. Reynolds, J. Postel. It obsoletes RFC 820. It has been obsoleted by RFC 900 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
