RFC 7241, “The IEEE 802/IETF Relationship”, is an Informational document published in July 2014 by S. Dawkins, P. Thaler, D. Romascanu, B. Aboba. It obsoletes RFC 4441. It has since been updated by RFC 9141. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This document describes the standardization cooperation between Project 802 of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). This document obsoletes RFC 4441.
