RFC 1349, “Type of Service in the Internet Protocol Suite”, is a Proposed Standard document published in July 1992 by P. Almquist. It updates RFC 791, RFC 1060, RFC 1122, RFC 1123, RFC 1195, RFC 1247, RFC 1248. It has been obsoleted by RFC 2474 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. Abstract
This memo changes and clarifies some aspects of the semantics of the Type of Service octet in the Internet Protocol (IP) header. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
