RFC 1334, “PPP Authentication Protocols”, is a Proposed Standard document published in October 1992 by B. Lloyd, W. Simpson. It has been obsoleted by RFC 1994 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This document defines two protocols for Authentication: the Password Authentication Protocol and the Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
