RFC 1280, “IAB Official Protocol Standards”, is a Historic document published in March 1992 by J. Postel. It obsoletes RFC 1250. It has been obsoleted by RFC 1360 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This memo describes the state of standardization of protocols used in the Internet as determined by the Internet Activities Board (IAB). This memo provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard.
