RFC 1186, “MD4 Message Digest Algorithm”, is an Informational document published in October 1990 by R.L. Rivest. It has been obsoleted by RFC 1320 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This RFC is the specification of the MD4 Digest Algorithm. If you are going to implement MD4, it is suggested you do it this way. This memo is for informational use and does not constitute a standard.
