Overview
RFC 1183, “New DNS RR Definitions”, is an Experimental document published in October 1990 by C. Everhart, L. Mamakos, R. Ullmann, P. Mockapetris. It updates RFC 1034, RFC 1035. It has since been updated by RFC 5395, RFC 5864, RFC 6195, RFC 6895. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This memo defines five new DNS types for experimental purposes. This RFC describes an Experimental Protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
