I build WooCommerce stores for clients and WP Engine is my recommendation for anyone doing serious revenue online. The platform is bulletproof — EverCache, automatic plugin updates with visual regression testing, staging environments, and their dev workflow tools are best-in-class.

The Genesis framework and StudioPress themes add real value if you're in their ecosystem. Global CDN performance is excellent.

Support knows WordPress inside and out. They've helped me debug obscure WooCommerce checkout issues and custom plugin conflicts.

The cost is the only real drawback. Plans start at $20/mo for a single site with 25k visits. For agencies managing many sites, the bill adds up fast. But if your client's site generates revenue, the reliability pays for itself.
