Solid bare-metal and cloud at great prices
Vultr is my go-to for spinning up quick dev environments and running personal infrastructure. Their High Frequency Compute instances are genuinely fast — NVMe storage and high-clock CPUs make a real difference for database workloads.
The Dublin location is perfect for me (low latency from Ireland). Bare metal servers are competitively priced and deploy surprisingly fast.
Support is the weak point — ticket responses are slow and sometimes generic. The control panel is functional but dated compared to DO or Hetzner. But honestly, for the price and the raw performance, Vultr is hard to beat if you know your way around a server.
