Dot zippo is a generic top-level domain that was originally intended for the lighter brand Zippo. It was delegated to Zadco Company in 2016, but the delegation was revoked in early 2019. The domain never appeared in the root zone and is not currently active. No registry operator or sponsoring organisation is assigned as of the last IANA record update. Because the domain never reached the root zone, there were no eligibility rules or usage restrictions to speak of. The whole project essentially ended before it began.

Delegated to Zadco Company on June 30, 2016, the .zippo domain was revoked less than three years later on February 14, 2019. The IANA record was last updated on February 15, 2019, and notes that the domain is not present in the root zone at this time.
