This is a test top-level domain, written in Hebrew characters as .טעסט. It was created by IANA in 2007 as part of an early evaluation of internationalized domain names, or IDNs. The TLD is not assigned to any sponsoring organization and has no registry operator. Because it is a test domain, it is not present in the root zone and cannot be used to register real websites. Its purpose was purely experimental, to see how non-Latin scripts could work in the DNS. The TLD remains in the IANA database as a historical artifact of that IDN evaluation program, which included eleven such test strings for different languages and scripts.

The .טעסט TLD was one of eleven internationalized test TLDs delegated in 2007 under IANA's evaluation program. These domains were never intended for public use.
