.lpl domain extension

The .lpl TLD is a brand top-level domain owned and operated by LPL Holdings, Inc., the parent company of LPL Financial, a leading broker-dealer and investment advisory firm in the United States. Launched in 2016, .lpl is intended for use by LPL and its affiliated entities to create a trusted namespace for their online presence, including websites, email, and internal systems. As a so-called closed brand TLD, registration is not open to the general public. Only LPL Holdings and its authorized subsidiaries and agents may register names under .lpl. The domain extension helps reinforce the LPL brand identity and provides a controlled, secure environment for corporate communications. The registry technical operations are managed by CentralNic, a well known backend registry services provider. The .lpl TLD was delegated by IANA in July 2016.
