intel (.intel)

The .intel top-level domain was a dot-brand generic TLD originally intended for Intel Corporation. It was delegated in 2016 but later revoked in 2020, and it is no longer present in the root zone. As a brand TLD, it was likely restricted to Intel's own use. There is no current registry or sponsor assigned to .intel.

Intel Corporation applied for .intel under ICANN's new gTLD program, and the domain was delegated on July 26, 2016. Just over four years later, on October 7, 2020, ICANN revoked the delegation. No reason is given in the IANA record, but such revocations often occur at the request of the brand owner or due to lack of use.
