.cw domain extension

.cw is the country code top-level domain for Curaçao, a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is managed by the University of Curaçao, which also handles registration. The domain is open to anyone, but registrants must have a local presence or a representative on the island. There are no strict eligibility restrictions beyond that. The TLD was delegated in December 2010, replacing the older .an domain after the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles. A 2011 IANA report details the transition from .an to .cw and .sx for Sint Maarten.
