.ভারত is the Bengali script country code top-level domain for India. It is managed by the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), the same organization that runs .in and other Indian language TLDs. This domain is intended for use by individuals, businesses, and organizations associated with India who want a web address in the Bengali script. Registration is open to anyone with a valid Indian presence, following the same eligibility rules as other Indian ccTLDs. The domain was delegated in February 2011 as part of a larger initiative to introduce seven Indian language TLDs, making the internet more accessible to speakers of regional languages.
