Malawi Sustainable Development Network Programme (Malawi SDNP) (.mw)

.mw is the country-code top-level domain for Malawi. It is managed by the Malawi Sustainable Development Network Programme, known as Malawi SDNP. Registration is open to anyone through accredited registrars listed on the official registry website. There are no specific local presence requirements for registrants. The domain has been in operation since January 1997. It has a stable set of name servers including some hosted within Malawi and others provided by RIPE NCC, APNIC, and the .cz registry as backup.

The .mw domain was redelegated to Malawi SDNP in 2002, as documented in an IANA report from August 12, 2002. Since then, the management has remained with SDNP, which operates out of Blantyre. The technical and administrative contacts have been consistent, with Dr. Paulos B. Nyirenda serving as the administrative contact for many years.
