.co is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Colombia. It is managed by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC), based in Bogotá. Originally delegated in 1991, .co has become popular worldwide as a generic domain for companies, startups, and personal websites, thanks to its resemblance to the word "company" or "corporation." There are no strict eligibility restrictions for registration, so anyone can register a .co domain. The registry operator is .CO Internet SAS, which handles day-to-day operations. History

The .co domain was first delegated on December 24, 1991. In 2009, it was redelegated to .CO Internet SAS, opening up registration to the global market. In September 2020, management transferred back to the Colombian government's Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, which now oversees the domain.
