Wyze Launches $80 Smart Scale with Body Composition Tracking, Google Health Sync
Wyze has launched a $79.98 smart scale that measures weight, body fat, muscle mass, and 14 other metrics, syncing data via Bluetooth to Apple Health and Google Health.
Wyze began selling a new smart scale on June 22, 2026, called the Wyze Scale BodyScan. Priced at $79.98, it tracks 17 body composition metrics and syncs measurements to Apple Health and Google Health via the Wyze mobile app over Bluetooth.
The scale is a lower cost version of the Wyze Ultra BodyScan, which launched seven months earlier at $119.98. The BodyScan cuts the price by $40 by removing Wi-Fi connectivity and relying solely on Bluetooth for data transfer.
Body composition tracking and multi user support
Users grip a built in handle on the scale to receive segmented readings of muscle and fat distribution across the arms, legs, and torso. The scale uses advanced ITO conductive glass to take accurate measurements regardless of where a user steps. Metrics include weight, BMI, body fat, muscle mass, muscle rate, body water, physical age, protein, lean weight, bone mass, visceral fat, basal metabolism, subcutaneous fat, fat mass, skeletal muscle mass, and segmented muscle mass and body fat.
Key features of the Wyze Scale BodyScan include:
- A 4.7 inch LED display that shows seven key metrics (weight, body fat, BMI, muscle mass, bone mass, body water, and protein) as soon as a user steps on, without requiring the app.
- Automatic recognition and syncing for up to eight users, plus unlimited guest measurements that do not mix with personal trend data.
- Baby, pet, and luggage weighing modes for non standard items.
- PDF report generation from the Wyze app for long term trend tracking.
Pricing and availability context
The Wyze Scale BodyScan is available directly from Wyze's website and on Amazon. It supports Apple Health on iOS and Google Health on Android via the Health Connect platform. The scale does not have Wi-Fi, which means all syncing occurs through a Bluetooth connection to the Wyze app. The $79.98 price point places it in direct competition with other connected scales from brands like Withings and Garmin, though Wyze's model includes a handle for upper body composition analysis that is typically found only in more expensive devices.
Wyze entered the smart scale market in 2020 with its original Wyze Scale. The BodyScan adds a handle based measurement system that the earlier model lacked. Industry analysts expect the lower price to appeal to budget conscious buyers who want detailed body composition data without paying more than $100.
