Prime Day 2026: Walmart+ steals the show, Pixel 10 and Galaxy S26 see big discounts
Amazon Prime Day 2026 runs June 23-26 with discounts on Pixel 10, Galaxy S26, and streaming services. But the standout deal may be a Walmart+ membership at half price.
Amazon Prime Day 2026 kicked off June 23 and runs through June 26, offering discounts on thousands of products. But the most talked about deal this year is not from Amazon. It is a Walmart+ membership for 49 dollars, half its regular price, which includes free Paramount+ or Peacock streaming.
ZDNET called the Walmart+ offer its favorite Prime Day deal, noting the membership includes free delivery and shipping. The promotion effectively undercuts Amazon's own Prime membership, which costs 139 dollars annually.
Phones, tablets, and streaming discounts
Google's Pixel 10 series is discounted up to 400 dollars, according to 9to5Google. The Pixel 10a dropped to a new low of 290 dollars. Samsung's Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra are up to 350 dollars off. TCL's NXTPAPER Android tablet starts at 140 dollars.
- Pixel 10 series: up to 400 dollars off
- Pixel 10a: from 290 dollars (all-time low)
- Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra: up to 350 dollars off
- Galaxy Tab S11: 350 dollars off
- TCL NXTPAPER tablet: from 140 dollars
Streaming services are also running promotions. HBO Max, Apple TV, and Fire TV sticks are among the discounted items, according to ZDNET. The Verge noted that while thousands of products are on sale, most are not worth buying, and curated a list of staff favorites.
Mixed reception from tech reviewers
TechSpot described this year's Prime Day as not overflowing with must-buy discounts, but highlighted worthwhile deals on laptops, OLED gaming monitors, SSDs, processors, and headphones. The site emphasized that its picks are based on products it has tested or reviewed.
The Verge similarly warned that most discounted items are not winners, and dedicated a separate page to deals on gear its staff actually uses. The cautious tone from multiple outlets suggests shoppers should focus on specific categories rather than browsing broadly.
What comes next: With two more days remaining, analysts expect additional flash deals on Amazon devices and home goods. The Walmart+ offer, however, may be the most strategic buy for consumers who want delivery perks without committing to Amazon's ecosystem.
