From EdTech to AI Cloud: Classover Rebrands as Kidz AI, Secures $500M for GPU Infrastructure
Classover, an AI education startup, rebrands as Kidz AI and raises $500.6 million to build GPU cloud infrastructure and data center capacity, marking a dramatic pivot into the neocloud market.
AI education company Classover has abandoned its original focus and rebranded as Kidz AI Inc., pivoting into the neocloud space with plans to build GPU-powered data centers. The company announced the shift on June 30, 2026, following a $100 million equity purchase agreement with Chardan Capital Markets signed in May.
Kidz AI has since raised $500.6 million in convertible secured financing, according to a company statement on May 29. The capital will be used to acquire Nvidia GPU clusters, including H100, H200, B300, and B200S models, and to deploy them in Tier 3+ data centers across the United States and globally.
Partnerships and SPVs Drive $50M Compute Joint Venture
Kidz AI formed a partnership with bare-metal GPU provider 1Legion to create a special purpose vehicle called Ousia Compute. Kidz AI owns the majority of the vehicle, which will invest $50 million in AI compute infrastructure. The joint venture will deploy Nvidia GPU clusters in Tier 3+ facilities across multiple U.S. locations and international sites.
Days later, Kidz AI announced a second partnership with Cyfuture.ai, an AI cloud and GPU infrastructure provider. This agreement gives Kidz AI access to Cyfuture.ai's full infrastructure stack, including GPU-as-a-Service, Inferencing-as-a-Service, and Tier III certified data center operations.
- $100M equity facility from Chardan Capital Markets for GPU and data center expansion.
- $500.6M in convertible secured financing raised on May 29, 2026.
- $50M joint venture Ousia Compute with 1Legion for GPU cluster deployments.
- Partnership with Cyfuture.ai for operational access to GPU and inference as a service.
- Nvidia H100, H200, B300, and B200S clusters planned for Tier 3+ data centers.
Neocloud Pivot Reflects Broader Market Shift
The pivot from education to AI cloud infrastructure mirrors a wider trend in the data center industry, where capital is flowing into specialized GPU clouds. Kidz AI CEO Stephanie Luo said the company is “positioning the company to become an important participant in the rapidly growing AI infrastructure sector.” The company will continue operating its AI education business alongside the new cloud division and is exploring robotics and industrial automation.
Kidz AI’s move comes as other data center developments face headwinds. A proposed data center outside Calgary, Canada, was withdrawn by developer Kalina in late June 2026, according to Data Center Dynamics. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania has emerged as a boom market for data centers in the Rust Belt, and Henrico County, Virginia, which hosts 37 data centers, publicly asked schools to conserve electricity due to a projected 25 percent rise in energy costs next year. Comcast is also reassessing its network strategy to focus on data center and AI workloads over legacy cable, according to TechSpot. Kidz AI's rapid capital raise and partnerships position it to compete in this shifting landscape, though execution risks remain.
