About VestaCP
VestaCP is a lightweight, open-source web hosting control panel for Linux. It is designed to offer a clean, no-nonsense interface for managing websites, DNS, mail, and databases. The panel is built on a simple LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack and is known for its low resource usage compared to heavier alternatives like cPanel.
The panel supports Apache and Nginx as web servers (including Nginx as a reverse proxy), PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB databases, and Postfix with Dovecot for email. It includes a built-in firewall (iptables), ClamAV for antivirus, and SpamAssassin for mail filtering. The RHEL-based and Debian-based distributions are supported, and the software is primarily maintained by its founding developer, Serghey Rodin.
