About Umbrel
Umbrel ships with over 100 apps. Bitcoin and Lightning nodes are first-class citizens, but you also get Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Pi-hole, Home Assistant, and more. It handles automatic updates and SSL certificates via Tor or a custom domain. The base OS is a minimal Linux distribution built on top of Raspberry Pi OS or Debian. You manage everything through a browser based control panel.
The project was created by the team at Umbrel HQ and is open source under the PolyForm Shield license. It is free to use, though they offer a paid cloud relay service for easier remote access. This is a solid choice for anyone wanting to run their own services without fighting with configuration files.
