About Talkyard
Talkyard is an open source forum and commenting platform that can be embedded into existing websites or run as a standalone community hub. It replaces services like Disqus while giving you full control over the data and moderation. The software combines threaded discussions, a knowledge base, and voting features in one package.
Talkyard supports single sign-on with OAuth providers including Google, Facebook, and GitHub. You can host it on your own Linux server using Docker, or use their cloud plan. It includes anti-spam tools, a trust levels system for users, and email notifications. The backend is written in Scala and TypeScript, using PostgreSQL as the database.
