About Squidex
Squidex is a headless content management system (CMS) that gives you a cloud-native backend for managing structured content. It stores everything as JSON documents, not pages or blog posts, so you can serve content to any frontend: a website, a mobile app, a kiosk, or a digital signage system. The platform is built on ASP.NET Core, runs on Linux or Windows, and uses MongoDB or SQL databases for persistence.
You can define your own content schemas with fields for text, numbers, assets, references, and geolocation. Squidex includes a built-in asset management system for images and files, automatic versioning of all content, and a workflow engine for approval processes. It exposes a RESTful API, a GraphQL API, and a real-time streaming API for live content updates. The user interface lets you manage content in a spreadsheet-like grid or per-entity forms. It also supports localization of content fields and has a full-text search engine.
