About SOGo
SOGo is a groupware server that gives teams shared access to calendars, address books, and email. It runs on Linux and works with standard mail servers like Dovecot and Postfix. Users connect through a web interface or native clients using CalDAV, CardDAV, and ActiveSync. The project started as a fork of the old SOPE framework and is now maintained by Alinto.
SOGo supports full email with Sieve filtering, resource booking for rooms and equipment, and delegation of mailboxes. It integrates with LDAP directories for authentication and can handle thousands of users. The web frontend is built with JavaScript and offers a responsive design. It also works with Outlook via a plugin and with Thunderbird through extensions.
This tool is aimed at organizations that want self-hosted collaboration without proprietary lock-in. It is released under the GNU GPL v2 and AGPL v3. SOGo is used by universities, governments, and hosting providers who need a scalable groupware solution. The latest stable version is 5.11.0.
