SimpleLogin

SimpleLogin is an email forwarding service that generates random or custom aliases. When someone sends mail to an alias, it gets forwarded to your real mailbox. You can reply from the alias too, keeping your actual address hidden. This setup blocks spam and marketing trackers that often come with sharing your email online.

The software runs on open-source code hosted on GitHub. It supports all major email providers like Gmail, Outlook, and ProtonMail. You can set up your own domain for unlimited custom aliases. SimpleLogin also offers browser extensions for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, plus mobile apps for iOS and Android. A built-in PGP feature lets you encrypt forwarded messages.

The project was created by the same team behind Proton, and Proton acquired SimpleLogin in 2022. The service is free for up to 15 aliases. Paid plans unlock unlimited aliases, custom domains, and additional mailboxes. Self-hosting is also possible if you want full control over your data.
