About Shaper

Shaper is a command-line network monitoring tool that captures and displays live bandwidth usage for every active connection on a Linux machine. It uses eBPF to collect packet data efficiently without heavy overhead, then presents a clean, real-time dashboard of upload and download speeds per process or socket.

Built by TaleShape, Shaper runs on any modern Linux kernel with eBPF support. It integrates with common system tools like tcpdump and nethogs but offers a more granular view of traffic flows. The interface updates every second and color-codes connections by protocol or process name. No external dependencies beyond a recent kernel and libbpf.

Ideal for sysadmins debugging network bottlenecks or developers profiling application traffic. Shaper is open source under the MIT license and free to use. The project is relatively new but already adopted in small-scale production environments for its simplicity and low resource footprint.
