ServerPilot

ServerPilot is a cloud-based control panel that automates PHP server management and deploys web apps on DigitalOcean, Linode, AWS, and other VPS providers.

About ServerPilot

ServerPilot is a SaaS control panel for managing web servers. You install an agent on a fresh Ubuntu server, and ServerPilot takes over the boring stuff: setting up Nginx, Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL, and automated security updates. It handles PHP versions (5.6 through 8.4) and lets you create multiple apps, each with its own isolated user and PHP settings. You can also add SSL certificates, manage MySQL databases, and see basic server metrics like CPU and memory usage. The dashboard is simple and clean. There is no file manager or DNS management. You are expected to use SFTP or git for file transfers. ServerPilot was created by the same team that built SendGrid, and it has been around since 2014. It works with any cloud provider that offers Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04 LTS. The free tier covers one server and two apps, making it a decent option for small sites or tinkerers who want a hands-off server setup without learning Ansible or spinning up a full cPanel license.
