About Readeck
Readeck is a self-hosted application that saves web pages for offline reading and serves as a reliable backup solution for your bookmarks and articles. It preserves the content exactly as captured, including text, images, and layout, and stores everything locally on your server. You can tag, organize, and search your library, and export archives in formats like EPUB, PDF, HTML, or plain text. The API-first architecture makes it easy to integrate with other tools and automate backups.
Readeck runs as a web server with a responsive interface, but also offers command-line tools and full RESTful API for advanced users. It supports PostgreSQL, SQLite, and MySQL databases, and can be deployed via Docker or manual install. The project is built in Go with a Vue.js frontend. Backups are stored as files on disk, making migration and recovery straightforward. Version 0.15.0 is the latest stable release.
