About OTOBO

OTOBO is an open source ticket management system designed for IT service management and customer service teams. It was forked from OTRS and continues as a fully community driven project under the Rother OSS organization. The software handles incident, problem, change, and service request management with a web based interface.

OTOBO supports ITIL processes including CMDB integration, SLA management, and configurable escalation rules. It runs on Linux servers with Apache or Nginx, uses MySQL or PostgreSQL for data storage, and offers REST and SOAP APIs for integrations. The system includes a dynamic form builder, automated ticket routing, and a notification system for email and SMS alerts.

The project is fully open source under the GPLv3 license and free to use for any organization. Rother OSS provides optional commercial support and consulting services. OTOBO is actively maintained with regular releases and has been adopted by universities, healthcare providers, and government agencies in Europe.
