About Onloc

Onloc is a control panel that connects to your own Git repositories and deploys code to your servers without locking you into a third-party platform. It uses a simple API and agent-based model, letting you set up sites, manage environment variables, and trigger deployments from a clean web interface. The system relies on Git push hooks and optional webhooks to automate builds and releases.

The panel supports PHP and Node.js projects out of the box, with plans for Python and static sites. It runs on any Linux server with a compatible API backend. You can manage SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt and configure Nginx or Apache virtual hosts directly from the dashboard. The agent communicates over SSH and respects your existing server setup.

Onloc is built as an open-source API with a proprietary frontend, but the core deployment logic is transparent. It is best suited for developers and small teams who want Git-driven deployment without subscribing to a cloud vendor. The project was started by a solo developer focused on simplicity and self-hosting.
