About Oddmuse

Oddmuse is a wiki engine written in Perl that keeps things simple. It stores every page as a plain text file on disk, so there is no need to set up a database or run a complex installer. You just upload the script, point your browser at it, and start editing pages. The markup is straightforward, and the whole system is built around the idea of maintaining a wiki with minimal fuss and maximum portability.

Pages can be edited through the browser with a clean, no-frills interface. Oddmuse supports version history, page locking, RSS feeds, and basic access controls. It runs on any system with Perl and a web server, including Linux, macOS, and Windows. The code is intentionally compact and easy to modify, making it a good fit for small teams or personal knowledge bases that need to stay portable and database-free.
