You can monitor application performance, infrastructure health, browser sessions, mobile app interactions, and even Kubernetes clusters from a single dashboard. It supports dozens of languages and frameworks including Java, .NET, Python, Ruby, Node.js, Go, and PHP. The platform ingests metrics, traces, logs, and events, then lets you query them using NRQL, its own SQL-like language. You can set up alert policies that fire when error rates spike or latency degrades, and it integrates with Slack, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and many other tools. The interface is divided into curated experiences: APM for app metrics, Infrastructure for servers and containers, Browser for front-end performance, Mobile for iOS and Android, and Synthetic for uptime checks. New Relic also offers a free tier that includes 100 GB of data ingest per month and one full-access user, which makes it approachable for small teams. The company was founded in 2008 by Lew Cirne and is headquartered in San Francisco. It went public in 2014 and remains one of the most widely adopted observability solutions.
