Monica

An open-source personal CRM that helps you remember everything about your friends, family, and professional relationships.

About Monica

Monica is a personal relationship manager. It helps you track interactions with the people in your life so you never forget a birthday, a conversation, or an important detail. Think of it as a CRM for your personal and professional connections, not a sales tool. You can log activities, set reminders, and store notes about each contact in a structured way.

Built with PHP and the Laravel framework, Monica runs on Linux servers and can be self-hosted from its GitHub repository or used via the hosted cloud version at monicahq.com. It supports multiple users, contact groups, tags, and debt tracking. The project started as a side project by Regis Freyd and was later acquired by KNLabs.

Monica is fully open source under the AGPL license. Self-hosting is free. The hosted version has a free tier with limits and paid plans for more contacts and features. It is ideal for freelancers, consultants, or anyone who wants to maintain better relationships without relying on memory.
