Maza ad blocking

Maza is a command-line tool that blocks advertising at the DNS level by modifying your system's hosts file. It downloads and maintains a consolidated blocklist from multiple community sources, then writes those domains to /etc/hosts, redirecting them to 0.0.0.0. No daemon or browser extension required once the hosts file is updated.

Written in Bash with a simple terminal interface, Maza supports Linux and macOS. It integrates with cron for automatic list refreshes and offers whitelisting for domains you want to unblock. The blocklist sources include the same lists used by Pi-hole and AdAway, so coverage is solid. You can run it from a normal user account with sudo privileges for hosts file writes.
