Mataroa

Mataroa is a no-fuss blogging platform designed for writers who want to focus on words, not widgets. It strips away dashboards, analytics, and social media bloat, offering a clean editor and a simple reading experience. Posts are written in Markdown, and the platform supports custom domains, export to HTML or JSON, and a built-in newsletter feature.

Built with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL, Mataroa is fully open source under the AGPLv3 license. It can be self-hosted on your own server or used via the free hosted instance at mataroa.blog. The platform integrates with Tinylytics for optional analytics and supports RSS feeds, tags, and a minimal API for programmatic access.
