Maddy Mail Server

Maddy Mail Server is a single daemon that handles SMTP (receiving and sending), IMAP storage, and authentication. It aims to replace the traditional stack of Postfix, Dovecot, OpenDKIM, and other tools by bundling everything into one compiled Go binary. This makes deployment and maintenance simpler, especially for smaller setups. Maddy supports automatic TLS certificate provisioning via Let's Encrypt, SPF/DKIM/DMARC signing and verification, and built-in Sieve scripting for mail filtering.

Maddy runs on Linux and other Unix-like systems. It stores mail in a SQLite or PostgreSQL database rather than using Maildir or mbox formats, which simplifies backups and replication. The project was started by foxcpp and is released under the MIT license. Configuration is done through a single text file that defines pipelines of modules, giving you fine-grained control over how mail flows through the system.
