About LiteSpeed Web Server
LiteSpeed Web Server (LSWS) is a drop-in Apache replacement that offers dramatically better performance, especially for PHP-based applications like WordPress, Magento, and Laravel. It reads Apache configuration files and .htaccess rules directly, so migration from Apache is usually seamless.
The key differentiator is the built-in LiteSpeed Cache (LSCache), which provides full-page caching at the server level. For WordPress, the LSCache plugin is one of the highest-rated caching solutions available, offering object cache, page cache, image optimization, CDN integration, and database optimization in one package.
LiteSpeed supports HTTP/3 and QUIC protocol natively, anti-DDoS features including connection throttling and reCAPTCHA integration, and event-driven architecture that handles concurrent connections far more efficiently than Apache's process-based model.
