LibreServer

A free and open source server management system for creating your own internet services at home.

About LibreServer

LibreServer is a control panel that turns a spare computer or single board device into a private server running your own web, email, chat, and file sharing services. It is built on Debian and designed to be set up without needing to touch the command line if you don't want to. The system handles security updates, firewall rules, and domain configuration automatically.

You can install over 80 apps through the web interface, including Nextcloud, Jitsi Meet, Matrix, MediaGoblin, and WordPress. It supports single board computers like the Raspberry Pi and ODROID, plus standard x86 hardware. The project uses Tor and I2P integration for onion services and includes a mesh networking mode for community deployments.

LibreServer is entirely free software licensed under the GNU AGPLv3. It is maintained by a small community and aims to reduce reliance on big tech cloud providers. Ideal for privacy conscious individuals, small organizations, or anyone wanting to self-host without deep sysadmin experience.
