iRedMail

iRedMail is a self-hosted mail server solution that automates the installation and configuration of Postfix, Dovecot, and related components into a ready-to-use email system.

About iRedMail

iRedMail takes the headache out of building your own mail server. Instead of piecing together Postfix, Dovecot, MySQL or PostgreSQL, SpamAssassin, ClamAV, and a webmail client by hand, you run one shell script on a fresh Linux or FreeBSD system and walk away. The script sets up everything: virtual domains and users, DKIM signing, SPF and DMARC policies, antivirus scanning, greylisting, and a choice of Roundcube or SOGo for webmail. It also includes iRedAdmin, a web-based admin panel for managing mailboxes, aliases, and quotas. The whole stack is kept up to date through the iRedMail repository. What you do not get is a hosted service. This is your own server, your own data, on a VPS or dedicated machine. The documentation is thorough, covering deployment, backup and restore, migration from other systems, and common troubleshooting. iRedMail has been around since 2008. It is a good fit for small businesses, non-profits, or anyone who wants full control of their email without hiring a sysadmin to configure each daemon from scratch.
